KIPP Academy Nashville is a college-preparatory charter school located in the Highland Heights building in east Nashville. The mission of KIPP Academy Nashville is to cultivate in its students the character and academic skills needed to succeed in rigorous high schools and colleges, and to become productive citizens in the world beyond. To accomplish this mission, our teachers, parents, and students agree to do whatever it takes to ensure that all students learn and achieve at the highest levels.
KIPP Academy Nashville was founded in July, 2005 to an inaugural class of sixty fifth graders who were excited to climb the mountain to college. Since our opening, our students have consistently averaged 1.5 to 2.0 years of academic growth each calendar year in reading, math, and language. This growth results from their hard work along with the hard work of our parents and teachers. Since 2005 our school has grown to serve over 250 students in grades 5 through 8. We also support a growing alumni population who have gained entrance to some of the top college-preparatory high schools in Nashville and beyond!
