Our Mission
The mission of KIPP Academy Nashville is to cultivate in its students the character and academic skills needed to succeed in rigorous high schools and colleges, and to become productive citizens in the world beyond.
We will accomplish this mission by instilling in each student a commitment to Teamwork, Respect, Excellence, Responsibility, and Humility.
A Snapshot of the School
• KIPP Academy Nashville is a free public charter school in East Nashville serving 150 fifth, sixth, and seventh graders.
• We focus on developing student character and academic excellence in a team atmosphere.
• The school will grow one grade at a time to serve 5th – 8th grades.
• We provide an academically rigorous college preparatory program for our students
• Students, parents, and teachers commit to an extended school calendar and high expectations.
At KIPP Academy Nashville, our philosophy is simple. We encourage our students, our parents, and our staff to improve on a daily basis. We constantly strive to work hard, be nice, and be honest.
With this guiding philosophy, we place our students on the pathway to college starting in the fifth grade.
